Looks nice, Saffron! Ah, that seems like a good idea for a silhouette series, too. I like seeing stuff that shows off what people are fans of and is classy at the same time, gosh.
Thank you! I like that too. Idk how classy the glitter is though xD Might make something else like this, I have a lot of different coloured glitter sheets… * w *
varietyshow replied to your post: screw it I just bought the damn shoes
Oh, wait wait wait, you actually bought them? Daaang. I remember looking through the collection before, they’re pretty bloody cool! Have fun at that masquerade party, by the way!
yeahh… i did. couldn’t help it. and thank you! now I just need to find a dress and make a mask…

Ach, tell me about it. At least with fanfic there’s a chance you’ll find something that goes off the beaten track. To tell the truth, I got tired of that really quick! Especially when it was a woman ~getting in the way~ of yaoi, uuughh the misogyny.
yes. god. I can think of approximately one BL manga where the female characters are actually interesting and not shallow, petty antagonists.
even in female-centered stories it’s always ~ooooh that man-stealing bitch~ (I am currently watching gokinjo monogatari which I rather like but some of the characters are downright hostile to one another for no reason GIRLS YOU SHOULD STICK TOGETHER D: )
I think these issues are less prominent in older stuff though, but perhaps I’m biased?
varietyshow replied to your post: every anime/manga love story is the saaaame
It is painful as all hell. Painful. I’m not sure I could go back to it now after sort of reading something better? Not the same kind of media, sure, but one hundred leaps and bounds better character-wise.
mm, even things I am vaguely fond of follow the same basic plot and the same clichés… I think I’d enjoy most of these stories if I removed the dialogue.
and what is with these people being jealous all the time?! as soon as their significant other interacts with another human being, said person is ~stealing yo’ man~ or some shit. this is not healthy ok. your significant other can totally have friends. really.

Try honey and lemon in glycerine as a drink? It’s a bit sour, but it does sooth the throat a little bit. There’re a couple of recipes online for it. Hope you get well soon, though! :o
I did try honey, lemon and garlic (which was sort of icky) but it didn’t help much. I’m giving up orz…

Did you ever try that gargling with warm salty water thing? It sounds weird, but it really works. You poor dear, though, sore throats are just about THE worst “minor” (ha!) illness you can get ugh. Bane of my life, no joke. Try eating some icecream?
I tried it, didn’t work… and my mom made me this gross…concoction with garlic in it that tasted nasty and didn’t work either. And I don’t have ice cream! (baww) but I’m gonna have some oatmeal and chamomile tea (I find that the tea helps for a little while, at least)
Thanks, sweetheart!
varietyshow replied to your post: oh daaaamn I hate this crap
Mmmrrrrrrr, you poor thing. If you have a moment to relax you should get a hot water bottle and just smush it up against yourself, it does bring a little relief.
the problem is I don’t have one D: I’ve been meaning to make about one million heat cushions (yanno, the ones filled with grain that you microwave and then drape around your achy bits) but I haven’t had time/money for it ; A ; I was just thinking about how much of a butt I am for not having made one in time for this…

Ahh I really do! There should be a head-to-head word game for things like assonance and alliteration and all that neat wordy stuff, it’d be so fun. (I always point out my family’s alliteration bonuses when they happen irl haha.)
That would be fun!!! Ehe, my family never turns a phrase quite that… nicely. We do rhyme a lot though, accidentally, perhaps it’s a Swedish thing.
